Collected Animal Photography: Domestic or Captive

A place to show all my animal photography that wasn’t encountered in the wild (to see those lists, please check out my photography tab). I have been tracking every species of wildlife I encounter in the wild since August 2019, so I decided to expand that to include every kind of animal I photograph at all. Not only does it give a venue to display these shots I enjoy, but it is also an incredible avenue for learning more about these species and how they are related. … More Collected Animal Photography: Domestic or Captive

A listing of all wild species I have encountered in New Zealand, listed by their taxonomy categories of Class, Family, and Species (except Invertebrates, it will be a bit different). Wildlife of India: Species Photographed in Nature

A personal photographic account of my month-long travels in Rajasthan, India in February 2020. Most of the sightings were within 5km of my stay at the Farm Studio artist residency in Andore. However, there would also be sightings included from Jaipur, Ranthambore National Park, Ranakpur, Kumbalgarh, Jawai Bandh, and Sirohi. I am self-trained in wildlife photography and identification, so I have done the best I can as of yet, but please feel free to point out corrections if you notice a naming mistake.

All photographs except one (of the leopard) were taken by me. All explorations and discoveries were on foot, with the exception of a canter tour through Ranthambore park. Any animals listed without photographs I was able to identify but unable to get a shot of them.

All animals were free and wild. … More Wildlife of India: Species Photographed in Nature

The first time I remember being really good at something is when I began drawing. I was a decent runner, pretty good at soccer, a decent chess player – but I was better at drawing. Even as a child, animals were one of my fascinations. My reading habits included Ranger Rick (a kids environmental magazine), … More A Year of Living as an Artist – 2019 in Review
